King’s Cross Theatre is a state of the art 1000 seat purpose-built theatre in the heart of King’s Cross. Originally built for The Railway Children in 2014, in the summer of 2015 the children’s show Dinosaur Zoo played over the top of The Railway Children for a limited season and in the autumn of 2015 Lin Manuel Miranda’s Tony and Olivier Awarding winning musical In The Heights opened at the theatre to critically acclaim where it ran in rep with The Railway Children until 2017.

In 2016 the theatre expanded its site and added two new purpose built theatres; one for the Donmar Theatre’s all female Shakespeare trilogy, and the other for the London transfer of David Bowie’s musical ‘Lazarus.’

The venue has also hosted London Fashion Week events, various comedy nights, corporate events and parties. Nominated for ‘THEATRE BUILDING OF THE YEAR’ by The Stage Awards for two years running it finally won ‘THEATRE BUILDING OF THE YEAR’ at The Stage Awards 2017.

“The King’s Cross Theatre has breathed new life into London theatre and its influence must not be understated – it has truly amplified the possibilities of how and where producers and venues can stage work”. The Stage
